When I was 25 years old, I received one of my most memorable pieces of financial advice when I was working as a licenced financial planner for AXA in Sydney

The person who gave me the advice was a wealthy property investor who started out as a shoe repairman and just kept buying properties. Despite his success, he still works today at over 80 years old fixing bags and shoes.

He told me back then: ‘Never sell quality property.’

Well, today I am Sam Rockwell with Yellow Brick Road Commercial based in the Sydney CBD and I still haven’t forgotten that advice.

That person has a portfolio of over 50 investment properties (residential and commercial) and that advice helped him achieve a secure financial future. I have tried to follow his lead and often share this advice with my clients.
