One of the most memorable pieces of financial advice that I have received was when I was in my accountant’s office trying to solve a tax issue.

My accountant shared with me advice from the horse trainer, Colin Hayes, which was ‘the future belongs to those who plan for it’. 

Most people that become wealthy have followed a plan. And many people who get themselves in financial trouble do so because they weren’t planning for the future. Rather, they are living in the moment.

I’ve applied this advice to my own life and often share it with my family and clients.
